Full Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
Today, you arrive to Kilimanjaro International Airport, or the Tanzania-Kenya border of Namanga, and one of our staff members will be there to pick you up and transfer you to your pre-booked comfortable hotel in Arusha. Take the time to unwind after you’ve checked in, the rest of the evening is yours to enjoy at your pace as you look forward to the next 5 days of adventure and life-transforming moments that await.
Overnight: Mount Meru Hotel
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast drive to Tarangire National Park with your packed lunch box. Known for its prominent giant baobab trees and its herds of elephants, Tarangire National Park is considered an ideal first check point for your Tanzania safari.
Enjoy an immersive game viewing drive across the park till early afternoon when you take a spacious time to relax for your packed lunch, continue with your game drive until early evening when you check-in to your lodge in the heart of Tarangire.

Day 3: Full Day in Tarangire
Take off on an early with an early morning game drive, when the park comes alive in its own way. Early morning hours give you a rare opportunity to witness the wild animals in their active state before they retreat for the day. After soaking in these early-morning sights, head back to the lodge for breakfast.
Once you’re ready, venture out again to further explore Tarangire’s hidden gems. While elephants may command attention, The park is also home to lions, leopards, and an array of plains game, including giraffes and buffalo. Boasting hundreds of avian species, bird lovers are likely to spot everything from brightly colored bee-eaters to raptors soaring overhead.
In the early afternoon, you return to the lodge for a multi-course lunch, Later evening enjoy more of what Tarangire could offer together with a locally sourced delicious dinner.

Day 4: Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro Highlands
Following a full breakfast, you bid adieu to Tarangire and set your compass towards the Lake Manyara National Park. Famous for its tree-climbing lions and the Lake Manyara – from which the park draws its name, and which shimmers with the vibrant hues of flamingos, Lake Manyara will excite your senses as you explore its hidden corners. As you drive through the park, you’ll likely spot native wildlife, including elephants, Maasai giraffes, buffalo, baboons, and so much more.
Bird enthusiasts will especially appreciate the abundance of bird species here, from colorful kingfishers to seasonal migratory flocks. Early in the afternoon, take a break with your packed lunch before resuming your afternoon game drive. As the day winds down, head toward the Ngorongoro highlands for a peaceful evening and dinner.

Day 5: Full Day – Ngorongoro Crater
Descend approximately 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, following an early morning meal. This is world’s largest unbroken caldera and a UNESCO’s World Heritage Site, home to an astonishing variety of rare wild animal including the Big Five; elephant, lion, leopard, rhino, and buffalo. With over 25,000 animals roaming the caldera, Ngorongoro Crater is an extraordinary destination to enjoy up-close wildlife encounters.
A game drive through the crater provides you an opportunity to take in the dramatic scenery, with its unique, aesthetic natural make-up. In the afternoon, pause for a picnic lunch, then resume your game drive before heading back to the lodge in the early evening for dinner and overnight. You will enjoy reminiscing about the wonders of what you encountered and experienced today.

Day 6: Back to Arusha to Kilimanjaro International Airport
Today marks the end of your safari in Tanzania. Enjoy your final breakfast in Ngorongoro Highlands before returning back to Arusha. After you have arrived in Arusha and checked-in at the Mount Meru Hotel for lunch and day use of a hotel room, take the opportunity to enjoy the hotel amenities.
Later evening , you’ll head to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight home or to other destinations.

Day 7: Fly from Arusha to Zanzibar
After breakfast, you can choose to either catch an early flight to Zanzibar or take it slow, spending the morning at Mount Meru Hotel before your afternoon flight. Your driver will take you to Arusha Airport, where you’ll board a quick flight to the island.
On arrival at Abeid Karume International Airport in Zanzibar, you’ll be transferred to your hotel. The moment you step off the plane, the island’s warm atmosphere greets you. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Welcome to Zanzibar.

Day 8: Full Day – Stone Town Tour
We bet you’ve been anticipating this day, and here it os. Following breakfast, you join forces with your local guide for a day tour around Stone Town – a place rich in culture and history.
As you wander through its narrow, maze-like streets, it won’t take you long before you start discovering landmarks like the Old Fort, the Sultan’s Palace, and the House of Wonders – each telling its own story of the island’s diverse past. The bustling local markets, intricately carved doors, and vibrant streets, all offer a glimpse into what life looks like across the Islands.
In the afternoon, you stop for a well-served lunch at Cape Town Fish Market Restaurant. Following lunch, you can choose to either visit the spice plantations, further explore the Stone Town at your own pace alongside your personal local guide from Premier Africa Adventures, or simply relax and soak in the unique atmosphere of the Stone Town.

Day 9: Stone Town to Nungwi Beach
After you’ve enjoyed a hearty breakfast, your local guide will pick you up from your hotel in Stone Town, and an adventurous road trip to Nungwi Beach takes center stage. As the road stretches forth, you’ll notice the shift from the Zanzibar City to the coastal vibes of Nungwi.
Upon arrival, Nungwi’s beautiful beaches embraces you, with clear waters and soft sands ready to be explored as you please. You’ll have the day to unwind or dive into optional activities like snorkeling, kitesurfing along the breezy shore, or even hopping on a quad bike for an adventure around the area. The rest of the day is yours to explore and enjoy one of Zanzibar’s finest beach destinations – Nungwi.

Day 10 & 11: Nungwi Beach
The main focus these two days is to provide you with plenty of time and opportunities to explore and enjoy Nungwi’s beach life; this is one of Zanzibar’s liveliest and most scenic beach destinations. The beach is known for its clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and miles of white sand. It’s a perfect spot for snorkeling and diving, with chances to see tropical marine-life just offshore. The beach is also known for its dhow-building traditions, where you can catch local artisans at work, crafting these iconic wooden boats.
Alternatively, take a leisurely stroll along the shoreline, visit the bars along the beach, or indulge in fresh seafood by the water. These days are yours to either fill with adventure or simply soak up the sun and serenity that Nungwi is known for.

Day 12: Final Day
Finally, your Tanzania safari has come to a close. Today you wake up and savor your final breakfast, reflecting on the extraordinary experiences of the past two weeks.
The morning is yours to relax or take in any last moments by the beach, depending on your flight schedule. If your departure is scheduled for later afternoon, we’ll make arrangements for you to have lunch before your transfer to Abeid Karume International Airport for your onward flight.
